My 100th Goodreads book is the end of every word Arthur Conan Doyle ever wrote about Sherlock and this is a bit surreal. This was certainly a journey. A confusing journey at times but a memorable one. Out of the 60+ short stories in all of ACD's book about 20 were the ones that stuck with me. The bizarre ones, the supernatural ones, the ones that played with the genre, the ones where Sherlock was the narrator, when Watson had to solve the crime, when they did poisonous drugs together to build a theory. The camaraderie of the two is much more remarkable than it is portrayed in the tv interpetations. Watson isnt worthless he is just a mortal lackey next to a superhero. Watson does not barely stand Holmes, he worships him. If I was to suggest these series to someone, I would pick and choose some of the books (mostly the novels).

Such a fantastic collection of short stories, just like the other Sherlock Holmes novels!

Another great read, I really can't decide which Sherlock is my favourite.

The book was good but definitely not engaging. At certain points, it was rather boring. The cases too, were not as good as the rest, save a few. Doyle could have done a better job had he not kept in mind that this book shall tell the final tales of Sherlock Holmes. Rather than being excited about writing the final book, he seemed rather bored and wanted to just finish it off.
It is not a bad book. But the thing is, Sir Doyle's works have been so captivating and amazing in the past that one tends to compare and hence finds this piece of work a little disappointing.
