Hacía mucho tiempo que quería darle una oportunidad a esta aclamada historia y cuando vie esta edición gráfica, vi que era mi oportunidad. Sin duda, me parece una maravillosa crítica a la opresión de libertad de expresión de los regímenes dictatoriales que han existido a lo largo de la historia. En pocas páginas, Orwell es capaz de transportanos a esa dura situación y ver la lucha y dolor a los que se ven expuestos los que viven esas situaciones. Además, las ilustraciones contribuyen en gran medida a meter al lector en ese ambiente.
En definitiva, es una novela dura de leer, pero a ls vez muy interesante, ya que permite abrir las miras sobre la importancia de la libertad de expresión.

I'm unsure how many stars to give this. The story is every bit as scary, plausible, depressing and prescient as the original novel, and there lies the rub. This was basically an illustrated, abridged version of the novel.
The illustrations were depressing because of the lack of detail and the form, not to mention the color scheme which was almost non-existent, but they didn't lend anything, or at least nothing new, to the original source.
