Now it's getting good! This began as a simple cartoon with tiny glimmers of a darker understory and now, almost 600 pages in, we are finally getting to the meat. I can see why so many people love this. It's a very, very slow boil, but if I were reading this as it was written, I don't know that I would have been patient enough to get this far.

I am really looking forward to book four.

The only reason I finished this so quick was because my Netflix wasn't loading my show and I figured I should read while I waited. These days it takes me about 30 years to finish a small book.

+1
Just in general I've been loving graphic novels. I have to keep telling myself to not buy them because I don't exactly have the money with my first year of college coming up. I still love them so much though.

+2
I've never given a plus two for anything except now. I read this when I was a kid and I think I read it all out of order but who knows. Anyways, the feeling of nostalgia and excitement that I get from reading these when I'm older definitely warrants the high marks. Because I said so.

Other than that there was nothing too spectacular about this. It was a cute story and quick to read. I can't wait for the next one.

The backstories of some key characters have been laid out. Cool scenes in the woods while they're evading the rat creatures. Jeff Smith is a very gifted cartoonist.

It's overall, a bit lacking when compared to the first two volumes, but a nice bridge for what's coming.

Reading Rush: Book 6 (I'm just mood reading now)

I really enjoyed this, but I don't remember ever reading this volume. Even though I have already read this, I didn't remember reading this. I'm also really excited because I have completed my 2019 reading challenge. I am really excited to finish this series this time, though.

Dreams become more prominent points of information as we explore the motivations and identities of characters.
