This book actually restored my faith in short story collections. I had lost hope after reading and disliking Nineteen Claws and a Blackbird, but everything that book did wrong, Cursed Bunny did right. Each story felt so well developed. In other short story collections, they can just feel like half baked underdeveloped ideas, but in this book, each story did an amazing job at being just as compelling as a full length novel, just within a shorter page count. I also think something this book did well was not giving the characters in a lot of the stories names. This allowed me to follow them a lot easier and not have to remember new names for each short story. In addition to all that, I loved how gory and disgusting these got. It really shocked and horrified me at times. My favorite stories in this collection were Cursed Bunny and Ruler of the Winds and Sands. My least favorite was probably The Head.
