Really good book. Chapter three reminded me of the shawshank redemption. It's definitely the climax of the novel.

It was startling how much I enjoyed this read. Gut wrenching and stomach turning and tear jerking and horses!!!

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't get through this book. There were moments when I did get into it which is why I gave it 2 stars, but I had a hard time maintaining interest.

I love McCarthys writing style! I don't usually like Westerns and I'm no great fan of horses, but this was beautiful and raw. It felt like something out of another world.
