Read because I thought a child I know might have these tendencies, but reading this helped me understand they do not.

It's a quick read and easy to understand. The author straight up repeats herself over and over again through the text. I wasn't sure if it was a result of subpar editing or an intentional memorization technique, since it is one for ADHD people.

I especially appreciated her explanation of the reasoning behind not taking positive experiences away from children as punishment for "bad behavior." Like not allowing a child to go trick-or-treating because he behaved in a way you did not approve of. Those positive experiences are important life events. While the author does not go into replacement punishments in this book, she does (often) recommend reading her other book on this topic and I would imagine it is explored more in depth there.
