Don't like the romance, and Thomas and Kade can be a bit quirky, but otherwise a fun read. Ravenna was a great character. I think I would like a bit more of this world outside of this story, the plot is sharply focused on a few characters and dismisses a lot of the court machinations the characters supposedly dislike. Ending is super abrupt.

Straight people are wild.
Which is to say, there are elements of this book that I like (strangely, none of them were fire), but the romances were easily the least convincing part of any of it.

Slow, politics-focused. Gave up when young princess and older captain (who'd slept with her stepmother) were obviously about to be a thing.
