3 stars because there were a few "aha" moments as I was reading which gave me good things to consider.
However, this wasn't my favorite book. The devotionals often felt repetitive, and I had some trouble following the writing style. Many of the days were written like, "It's the one thing we need most. It's the thing that changes everything. It's what puts the things that seemed important in their rightful place..." etc., and eventually there would be the "big reveal" of whatever he was talking about, but by then I was already struggling to stay focused. There's a lot of fluff surrounding some really good points, but unfortunately, the fluff was too distracting for me.
Glad I read it once, glad to not read it again.

Okay, so I am technically not finished with this one yet. But I've made it 346 days in and I feel pretty confident giving it a rating and since most folks want to have an annual devotional in their hands by Jan. 1 it made sense to jump the gun a bit. This is one of the best devotions I've ever worked through. It pushed me and challenged me in ways I wasn't always comfortable with, but it deepened my daily focus on God. Highly recommend this one.

Beautiful, gospel-saturated book. The devotions are short and quick, but thoughtful and worth meditating on. Includes a Scripture reference at the bottom of each that is related to that day's devotional. Would recommend for all Christians.
