Have you ever been surprised by how much you ended up loving a book?

Love, Hate and Clickbait has been on top of my TBR since it came out a few months ago, esp after reading reviews! I certainly didn’t anticipate starting off hating both MC’s and wasn’t feeling so confident I’d pull through on this one.

But as we all know with enemies-to-lovers, it’s a fine line between love and hate … and oh how I loved these boys by the end. Thom starts off seeing Clay as an ugly, bumbling bro. It was so wonderfully subtle to see his viewpoint change to the point that by the end Clay is the balm to his edginess, the only one he truly opens up to. Clay came off as so inept initially, but he was far more astute and was the only one that could read Thom and break through his impassive shell. Their chemistry was

This book was technically quite good, in terms of the writing itself. I didn’t really buy the premise (Tom is suddenly gay, out of nowhere, and doesn’t seem to go through any personal development around that.) I really didn’t warm to either main character. And I felt more could have been made of the “PinPoint” subplot… which actually provided most of the tension. The sex is tastefully drawn, but more explicit than I usually want from a novel. So good and bad in this one. If the measure of success is whether I’d recommend it someone, then maybe. If the measure of success is whether I’d read another book by this author, then yes.

Fake dating enemies to lovers?! Yes please!! Ugh. I'm such a sucker for these tropes, but both of them at the same time?! I mean...no chance. All the "No, why would I be jealous" thoughts, the fiery banter, that first kiss! I

Characters suck and really cheesy lines. I love a fluffy romance but I hated a lot of things about this
