Wowwwwwww. Do not read this book before bed. I wanted to try a James Patterson book…. But I don’t think I’ll continue. It was a bit dark for me (and I love a good murder mystery). I would read this every night and it would creep me out (like running to turn the lights off). So maybe it’s good? But I’m just a baby

2.5 It was just an decent quick read thriller. I didn't pratically care for any of the Private India team, they just arent as interesting as some of the other private teams.

I listened to this on Overdrive. I am not the most thrilled with the person who read the book, hence the lower rating. It was harder to follow. Other than that, I liked the book, as I do all of James Patterson's books.

Ok, technically this one is a series. BUT you don't need to read the Private novels in any particular order. Nor do you have to read them all. Case in point, this is the first one set in Private's new India office.

Private India is dealing with a serial killer who may be in the market to harvest human organs. A shocking premise and one I can certainly find interest in. My initial take on the Private India characters was that they were a little dry. I found more to like about them as the story went on, but I'm not overly invested in them. This tends to be a theme in Private novels. Patterson seems to want us to forget about the various detectives he uses in favor of remembering Jack (the owner of the Private industries and guest star in the books). My problem with that, as you may know from previous book reviews, is that I'm not actually a fan of Jack. But I enjoyed this book for the way it would down after the climax. I enjoyed the ending and I enjoyed the suspense. It took a lot of build up to get there, but hang in and you'll like it.

Next Private entry still feels like it is ticking all the formula boxes list to a large extent, but it is saved by theist act.
Again even though it is set in a different county it all feels like the same nation in Patterson-world.

The Private Series is not just about crime and mystery solving. The series also introduces the readers to different countries and cultures.
Private India solved some of the most horrific crimes in the Private Series. I love this team and I'm hoping to read more about their stories.
