Legend: 5⭐️
I've read this book 3 timed and I love it each and every time. Day and June are interesting characters. Story is action packed and fast paced, making it an absolute page turner.
Prodigy: 4⭐️
I found this one to be a little slower. This book focused more on who the characters are deep down as individuals rather than having a major storyline.
Champion: 5⭐️
This book had me in all my feelings, crying both sad and happy tears. Definitely the more emotional story of the three while still having plenty of action.

Fantastic!!

Marie Lu never disappoints! I was gasping, crying, cheering them on and laughing out loud throughout this book. My husband and teens got to hear pages at a time as I read to them at dinner time! I flew through this trilogy unable to put it away! Can’t wait to read Rebel - I already downloaded the e-book!

This book may have been the most fun I have had reading since the Harry Potter Series. Marie Lu uses a dynamic imagery to create a true page turner. The story has enough action and romance to entice any reader. The story falls under the category of young adult but do not pass it up based on the genre. Virtually any reader can fall in love with the characters and be swept away by the action.

I found this trilogy a bit tiring but I think it may be just that I have reached my saturation limit of teen dystopian romance so I was more critical of it. The book switches back and forth between the girl’s and boy’s perspective but the two characters didn’t have strong enough voices for this to be successful for me. I also had a hard time accepting that such young people would be put in such positions of power. Perhaps if she had made the characters even a few years older I would have found it less annoying. Finally the third book had so much sketchy science and so many clichés, story contrivances that stretched all credibility, and one-dimensional characterizations that it had me rolling my eyes through most of it.
