An incredibly emotional book overall. I knew there was something going on very early but it’s slowly teased and the reveal is satisfying. The ending leaves you with mixed feelings but it’s accurate and I loved the character development. I’d highly recommend.

What a beautiful book. It has a lot more depth than other 'an old person walks away from their life' books. I loved it that the writer did not choose the easy way out.
But man, this book is super sad...
My only point of criticism is that Harold seems to behave like he is way older than 75, he's more like 85!

My most favorite book in a long time. Harold Fry leaves his home in hopes to save a friend. In the end her saves himself. Very beautifully written book about loss and dealing with it and finding yourself in the loss.
Moderate: Suicide and Cancer

Wow. I didn't want to put this book down. I was completely sucked in to the story and wanting to know more about these characters.
The characters are so exposed and raw. In reflecting on their lives, the characters make you think about your own. The book is reflective, and full of love, and grief.
I am writing this in tears though, as this book grabbed hold of my heart.
I can't believe I am being so petty as to knock a quarter star off, but the speed of the postal system really annoyed me... I will probably think better of myself and change this later to five stars.
Either way, this is my second book from the author and I have loved them both. I can't wait to read more!
