SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)

Verity has always been a cutslut and loyal West Sider as Mama B's daughter. But when she gets an invitation to the Princess Ball -- where she has a chance to become the next Princess to the East Side house, she can't pass it down. Especially when her, Lavinia, and Story come up with a plan to change the Monarch from within -- by planting her as the Princess.

Only it's not easy being the Princess -- certainly not as easy as it looks on the outside. And when she's paired with King Ashby's three adopted sons as her Princes, life gets even more difficult. They don't want to be there, and they are making her life as difficult as possible.

REVIEW:

Another amazing start to another amazing ride. It's dark and twisted and absolutely brutal -- and I expected nothing less.

Verity has completely different challenges than Story and her Lords and Lavinia and her Dukes had. But they are no less challenging and no less painful. Being a Royal of Forsyth is never easy. It's messy and painful and traumatic.

The things she has to go through are rough. And the guys are very much hardened at this point. There's a few moments of give, but only to have it absolutely ruined by them finding out about her "betrayal". Gah! It's all so intense.

I also love that there's a bit of m/m included in this one. Nothing heavy, but lots of touching, helping hands, kissing, and closeness between them. They are not blood brothers, but have all been adopted brothers since they were boys. And they have endured absolutely horrifying abuse from Ashby. Just awful. Each of them something different and the worst of it is how he would use them against each other for their punishments. But in doing this, it created a deep bond and codependency between them. They are very close to each other and that shows in their physical encounters as well.

Verity is a strong FMC, but she's also terrified and broken. I would place her more on Story's level of strength at the beginning, because to me Lavinia was an absolute badass from the very start. But Verity is definitely being transformed into an absolute badass. I loved her revenge at the end of this book -- so fitting.

Now, the big reveal about her being Ashby's biological daughter was not a surprise to me. I totally suspected this to be the case after seeing him and Mama B interact at the end of Dukes of Peril, and then paired with her random invitation to the Ball, it was something I strongly suspected. So yeah, it's a confirmation for me, but I definitely saw it coming.

Overall another amazing ride. So glad I waited for them all to come out because (of course) it ends on a cliffy. On to the next one!

This book is all about Verity infiltrating the Princes, but damn, those guys are the worst, and I totally loved them. Verity is a great FMC, but her reason for becoming a princess was a bit weak. I found a bit it lacked the passion and obsession we saw in previous books from the guys. The plot started well, but I hope it gets better in the following installments, looking forward to more mystery and thrilling scenes as well as more spice.

If you wanna lose remaining of your sanity, read this
Okay I won't justify the book, if you like it, you like it and if you don't, you don't
Just don't write any hate comment, but I understand where this is coming from
It's not just dark, its DARK DARK
But it does make you mentally exhausted, and also physically if you feel it too much

I read this in one day. This book is so fucked up. But the ending is soooo satisfying. RH Harem. Truly I can only read this if I’m ready for the intensity. This series does not disappoint with the twists and turns
