cried several times while reading this book, not because it’s particularly sad, but because the prose is so beautiful it moved me to tears. i think the only thing that i’ve read that’s more romantic than this book is pablo neruda’s poetry.

This one takes some concentration to read since the authors barely build the world. Instead, you build the world in your head as the story progresses.

I think I understood what happened, but I might have to do a reread to truly 'get' the story. Which I would do if there weren't other books on my backlog :/

I was very intrigued by the world created and the mysterious aspects of the story!

I feel like I should give this a higher rating but I was kinda lost for half the book. Going to have to reread I think to understand the depth. Gives you feels tho and world building packed into such a short novella. I wish there was a bit more explanation on the time/world but I know it’s supposed to be more character focused. I appreciated the ending.

I expected this to be way harder to understand, based off of what everyone else has said about it, but honestly??? It wasn't that difficult to parse out what was happening. The prose is beyond stellar. I loved every minute of this. It was like extended slam poetry. The narrators for the audiobook did a phenomenal job. Just the right amount of romance, mystery, time travel, wordplay, horniness, betrayal, scifi nonsense, and more. Loved it. Loved loved loved. The description of the place Red goes at the end had me scratching my head but in that scifi way where you just go with it because trying to picture it simply won't work if you're sober.
