really beautiful. i’ll have to go back to this one. it didn’t all resonate quite as i’d hoped hence the eventual reread, but what stuck out truly stuck out. the phillis wheatly sonnet, long distance love, and sonnet 116 were probably my favorites. the whole collection was great, loved the little photos included at the beginning. beautiful ode to her work

I’m not much of a poetry person especially contemporary poetry, but I can definitely appreciate the skill and artfulness of the craft! Great collection! June Jordan is beautiful!
