3.5 stars. I enjoyed the majority of this book and liked the quirky characters. However, many of the things that happened were supremely unrealistic. If you look at this as a modern day fairytale, it’s much more enjoyable.

This was an okay read. I thought Minnie could have been developed a lot more than she was and we seemed to miss out on a lot of key moments in her life - it would have been better to ditch the pointless flashbacks and concentrate on her life in the present.

I also thought Quinn was a very poor match for her - and the whole running to meet him at the end scenario is ridiculously cliched these days. There was no need for that scene. I also found it irritating that everything comes right for all her group of friends, the mothers and for herself in a very unrealistic way.

Faintly annoying but it tried its best.

I didn’t super love this book and I’m kind of bummed about it. I think the baseline of the story had so much potential but it was just WAY too long for my liking. Lots of fluff thrown in there. A lot of back and forth and filler events. Idk, I just lost interest before I was halfway through.

Better than I expected. Less romance, and more self discovery.

Can’t tell if homegirl was just a hopeless romantic or if she was just severely lacking a backbone. Maybe both. I wanted her to open her eyes sooner. I wanted GROVELING. I did enjoy Tara’s lil side-plot journey though

When people discuss whether or not they think the two characters’ relationship lasted beyond the book??? I’d keep my mouth shut on this one.

A New Years Romance!? Yes please!

This story follows a unlucky girl who never likes to go out on New Years Eve because of the bad things that always happen to her. Throughout the year she learns a lot about herself & that taking chances can put her in a great new position “this time next year”.
