This book wasn’t what I expected. I kinda thought it would be a light, fun read (despite the description). It was not. I ended up reading about black trauma again, even when I didn’t mean to.

So, there was a lot of potential. However, I think there’s too much going on, too many problems for one roadtrip. I understand that the author wanted to describe social issues during that time period, but to put all in one book?
And I’m not too much of a fan of insta-love.
