Though One Night In Georgia is an interesting and compelling story, filled with historical detail and intrigue, it was not quite a satisfying read. I didn’t feel like the characters were fully cohesive or that the plot was well-developed. As one of the main focuses of the book, race and politics came up often, but the friends’ discussions rarely felt natural and they were somewhat inconsistent in their stances. The plot was also sometimes difficult to believe and the often flat, straightforward writing made it harder to give the benefit of the doubt. Still, it was  a gripping and thought-provoking page-turner. I was excited to see a new perspective on the time, but I might just look for an autobiography next time.
