Beginning: "I'm a quirky comedian here to talk to you about savings accounts!"
End:
Are we such kowtowing sniveling cowards that we have to let companies treat us like shit and pay us like shit just to get a job - any job?

Luckily for me, I already knew basically everything Gaby teaches here, but I imagine this book would be really helpful for anyone who doesn't. I like Gaby's sense of humor and I deeply appreciate her candor. She's very open about her troubled family history with money and her bipolar disorder, both of which make it difficult for her to manage her own finances. I think she nails the tone, she's knowledgeable while still staying that she's a freelance writer/comedian who doesn't have perfect habits either.

I also like that she repeatedly emphasizes that our economy is not fair - there are steps you can take to get out of debt and become more financially stable, but your finances are NOT perfectly r = 1 correlated with how hard you work. She discusses socialism only on a very surface level, but socialism isn't the point of the book.
