One of the best working playwrights today, since I saw Misty at Trafalgar Studios all that time ago I've returned to this script both as a fantastic writerly script with it's exploration of form and also as a truly probing and insightful piece about identity.

What a fantastic play! Misty tackles the two feuding ideas of selling out and telling the truth as a Black playwright in the theatre world. There's a great blend of the real and the abstract and Kene does not hold back by any means. This play is inventive, funny, and honest and it ends with the best/most damning line I've think I've ever read. What a play! I hope to see it in person someday - please pick this up!
