Absolutely stunning. Will change the way you think about the environment and your relationship with it. I loved that the author mixed scientific sources, written non-scientific sources, and oral tradition. I found her so charming, it would be an incredible experience to have her as a professor. This book made me laugh, cry, and reflect deeply. Must read for everyone

What can I say about this book that hasn't already been said? So tender, so warm, so thoughtful. Felt so connected with nature just reading. She repeats her ideas over and over in different ways, making this beautiful braided story of the way life could be. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone -- whether you think of yourself as a plant person or not (and maybe, especially if you don't).

A truly fascinating book and such a beautiful and unique way of looking at the world and nature.

Many things about this book stood out to me:
-principles of the good harvester
-reciprocity
-language of how we describe nature (an inanimate object devoid of life versus a life.)

I really enjoyed this one. And think the world would be better if more lived like she describes.
