Dog books are always a favorite in my classroom and I know I will have to purchase this one for my classroom. I really enjoyed the readability of this book, with a good mix of text boxes and longer text. I enjoyed the personal stories of young people who are making a difference in the dog world and the history of dogs. I also liked the dog pledge at the end! This is a great book for those with dogs as pets or who are considering getting a pet dog. Five stars!
