This wasn't a bad book, but it wasn't my favourite either. I just didn't end up caring for the characters or their struggles as much as I had hoped from the start. There wasn't enough tension or struggle and the romance wasn't a slow enough burn for me. It also would have been maybe twenty pages long if the MCs had just used their grown up words from the start. I wouldn't mind so much except that was the only conflict they seemed to have.

However, while this couple wasn't for me, I am interested in reading other books by this author because the writing was pretty good. I just wish there had been a little more effort on the plot points.

definitely the best in the series, i love how the author doesn’t make the third act break up the stupidest thing ever but has individualized it to the concerns of each character. this book was a nice way to bring everything together. elle is still the most annoying character ever tho.

Fluffy for the most part. Don’t love the miscommunication trope very much so I didn’t like this book as much as the other two in the trilogy but overall decent

I really enjoy this series for what it is, a fluffy beach read full of hopeless queers. Most of what has already been said in reviews about this book is correct, regarding the annoying miscommunications and such. But I expected that from a romcom book.

What took me out of this one compared to the others was the career aspect. The other books in the series talk a ton about the characters doing their jobs. And I like that part! In this one, the whole reason for Olivia being present was her job, which supposedly required her to plan a huge, fancy wedding in 2 weeks. Yet she never seemed to work at all? And joined the friend group at game nights and on the bachelor/bachelorette weekend (two days before the big important event she was planning!) with pretty much no hesitation? And we find out at the end that she earned a promotion for it? I'm sorry, I just couldn't suspend disbelief of all that.

I was on a (contemporary) romance kick the first half of the year, but I started reading The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi while reading this, which kickstarted my desire to read fantasy (mainly historical). While I enjoyed both the other books in this series as well as this one, I just lost interest in reading romance novels for the time being. I will definitely be coming back to this book once my (contemporary) romance reading rut is over.
