This was a fine, enjoyable read but it did not really provide me the John Wick/Continental backstory that I crave. Perhaps that information is being saved for another movie or perhaps it is simply unknowable.

There is a full page spread devoted to John Wick feeding a stray cat that I enjoyed very much. The art is very good because it looks like Keanu Reeves and I like to look at that.

Good, simple, John Wick style of fun. Appreciate the continued humanity we see in John that mirrors how much he loves his dog in the movies.

Interesting peek at John Wick's past. It's a fast read and nice art. The action is quite good. I'm pretty mesmerized with some of the panels. Although, I needed a little more of Calamity. I liked crazy "joker" villains.

I read this standing in a Barnes and Noble so I might need to go back and read it again lol. I adore John Wick. Probably more than I should for various reasons, but that’s not what we’re here to talk about. When I first saw the film, I thought for sure it was based on a graphic novel and I was really mad I hadn’t heard of it. Turns out it’s not, so I was very excited to see this, especially considering I was about to see the third chapter in mere hours. The art is incredible, especially considering how difficult the action could be to convey in this type of medium. I loved getting a glimpse into how he became who he is, but I felt like it fell a little flat in regards to the other characters. I still enjoyed it a lot, and will definitely pick up up again, or (hopefully) read any other graphic novels that might come later.

Me gustó la historia, me gustó el arte (John Wick de verdad luce como Keanu Reeves), y aunque los villanos no son del todo emocionantes, la historia si se siente mucho como las películas.

So, I'm a huge fan of the "John Wick" films and when I found out there was a comic about him/the world I was like "yaaaas" and so I got bought the physical copy from Amazon. Dynamite sent it over in just a few days and with a personal note - yeah, I know, nothing to do with the comic, but very nice of them.

Right, the comic. I guess this is the story of how John ended up working as a contracted killer and it is a nice read. It's like 20 pages so one can't expect very much to happen but what does is interesting and the art is very good. It's different from the films; comics/books always are but as a fan from the films, I was not disappointed at all.
