The movie is nothing like the book.
In the movie it’s fake dating but in the book it’s actually friends with benefits, it’s seems like the pg-13 version of spice and I ATE IT UP.
Now, I think you have to take into account that this book is a product of its time. Because no one would say that a fat ass and tiny boobs is a bad thing now. And yes she said that for a fat ass I was really invisible. But somehow the beauty standard in this is big boobs and blonde hair. Because her best friends were the definition of that.
But Bianca was just so annoying, I mean I get that you might hate everything but like even activities with your friends? If you hate everything then what do you do in your free time? Apparently she

Okay, now we can proceed.
This is a book I first found at 13 and have since read it time and time again. I don't know if it's B.'s snarky comments, the idea of a secret romance (phew, the pool bit still gets me hot and bothered) or simply connecting to feeling like the "Duff", but this is still one of my favourites (and 10 years have gone by since I discovered it ).
If you need a funny, quick weekend read, this is where it's at!
