The end but feels like the beginning

Such an amazing ending to Avery’s trilogy. She is such a powerful character. Completely unstoppable. This book she definitely stepped into her dark side in order to save her family. Aodhan and Avery are true couple goals and the support he has for her is swoon worthy. Then Atticus finally gives into the fact that she’s not only his and you have the start of a very powerful relationship. But not like you would normally expect in a MFM. I absolutely loved that Lips and the guys are back for this book because that group is fire together. That end though… it makes it seem like this is just the beginning for this group.

I am so sad this is the end of this trilogy. I finished the book and was like this can’t be all… I need more. I love these characters and am totally here for it if she wants to write more books for the family!

This series was a bit of a disappointment to me. Not at all a bad read, but it just doesn't meet the same standard as Hannaford prep in terms of plot, character arcs, and pace. Looking back not much happened over the three books and the threats were neutralized rather quickly and it took the Wolf returning to really get things going.

I like Avery a lot as a character, but I do agree with some other reviews that she was almost better developed as a side character than in her own series. I definitely read her inner monologue and thought that sometimes her opinion was a bit to high of herself and that she was all talk and no action. This is really unfortunate because her skillset and resources were enough to make her a dynamic and formidable character. If she stayed in her lane a bit more I think she could have been more entertaining and central to the plot in terms of eliminating threats. She doesn't need to be the Wolf and yet it seemed like she was trying to be.

The throuple element of these books was also underdeveloped. I was not left with a feeling that their relationship would prevail and there should have been more at the end to show the three of them coming together. Also, overall I was a bit disappointed with the chemistry between Atticus and Avery. There was almost more of it in the Hannaford series than this one when it should have been the very core of the books. Aodhan was great though, he could honestly do no wrong.

Avery, Aodhan, Atticus - MFM, “gang”,

We met Avery is Hannaford Preps book as Lips’ enemy turned best friend. After everything that’s happened, Avery doesn’t want to join her family on the road, she wants to stay home and figure out who she is and what she’s going to do.

“If he gets to call you his wife, then the first baby is mine. Those are my terms.”

I’ve loved Avery since Hannaford Prep and that love just grew in her series. She really did grow into the Ruthless Queen Crow.

While I did love this book it was my least favorite in her trilogy. Yes, it did end in a happy for now, but it’s feels very incomplete still. We don’t get to see how she navigates this new relationship with both Atticus and Aodhan. We don’t get to see anything more with the twelve and how Lucy and Luca are fitting into their rolls. The cliffhanger at the end clearly telling us we have missed a lot while Lips and her guys were on tour.

All that said, I am still so sad to be leaving the amounts Bay world. It is definitely a favorite.

BLURB
It was never supposed to be like this.

My darkest secret has just been sent to the one person I was desperate to hide it from and now it’s too late to take it back. The damage has been done.

With Atticus’ life in the balance and three new members about to be sworn in to the Twelve, the stakes have never been higher. Having my family back should be the greatest blessing but instead, it’s just made things more complicated.
We’re building a new empire in the Bay, one that is stronger than any that came before it.

Loyalties are being tested and reputations forged on the streets of the country’s most notorious city.

But one thing is for sure.
We might not all make it through, but so begins my reign.

I honestly cannot get enough of Mounts Bay. I love this entire world J Bree has created. Avery is so incredibly strong and the ideal heroine. I am absolutely in love with Aodhan, I thought Harley was going to be my favorite forever, however Aodhan has made it a strong tie for first. Until I die I will recommend Hannaford Prep and Queen Crow series to EVERYONE. Just read them, you won't regret it. I will never forget these characters or Mounts Bay

Fantastic series

Love love love Avery! Wish I could have more of Atticus and his dominant ways and his love for Avery! But loved seeing Avery coming into her position as the Queen of the crow can’t want for more! Wouldn’t mind seeing Morningstar fall in love lol
