Dnf at 30% what a waste of resources . Agatha's autobiography is a masterpiece and this book oftentimes quotes from that and also from Agatha's novels that reflect her life. Is the author quote tweeting?

A must read for any Agatha Christie's fan. It's a mix of biography and bibliography and it was an interesting, entertaining and engrossing read.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Well, this book was a total letdown, a biography absolutely unworthy of Agatha Christie. The style was annoying & pretentious and gave me the feeling that this book was a phoney, which I hate!!!!

We are told that the author had unique access to A.C.'s correspondence & other personal family papers. All the worse for her, because clearly she couldn't rise to the occasion and wasted her chances.

The book is jerky, rambles all over the place without agenda & structure, the author goes on about stuff in unnecessary circles and forgets where she wants to go, so we have no clue either.

DUH, enough said, it's not worth wasting more time over this

This biography is well researched but very biased in some ways. There are quotes and spoilers from her novels that bog down the narrative of her life, which is the point of the biography for me.

This is a very detailed biography by a sympathetic author. I thought her treatment of Christie's 11 missing days to be very realistic if a bit dramatized. Lots of info I hadn't known about decades of tax issues with the US and UK governments. They got most of her money.
It took me a long time to read as it was so detailed but I recommend it
