Jeff was a friend of my family, and a friend of mine at university. He had the kindest soul of anyone I’d ever met, and I struggle still when I think of his family’s - and the world’s - senseless loss.
Reading his aunt’s book gave me so much insight into his character and his strong belief in the good Canada was doing in Afghanistan. It brought me comfort and heartache, and I am so grateful to her for having written it.
