Set in the 1960s, ATFD is about a group of bohemians living on the island of Hydra, Greece. It follows their relationships, their attempts at creative success and is told through the eyes of our narrator, Erica. I was totally transported to Greece while reading this, and I’m now even more desperate to visit - Samson totally brought the island to life! With regards to the storyline, it fell a little flat for me for most of the book though I did start to enjoy it more when I realised the book was based on real people and events (Leonard Cohen, Charmian Clift, Marianne Ilhen) This was, really, a great sunny holiday read.
Moderate: Drug use, Car accident, and Death of parent
