This book is Paul's manifesto against a works based salvation. Christ came to set us free from sin and from the rule-following mandates of the law and our own works.
As it happens, I took a Greek exegesis class in my seminary that focused on Galatians in the Fall of 2019. Then, our church did a series of sermons preaching through Galatians this spring and early summer. I had thought I had learned all I needed from Galatians, but every time I read it, Galatians still has more to teach me.

Paul, in brief: Get the gospel right! Don't add to it. Understand what the law was doing/is doing as well as what it's never intended to do.
