The majority of these stories weren't worth the waste of time and make me glad I got this from the library or I'd be wanting my money back. 3 of the stories is why it got 2 stars other than that I'd start demanding for negative votes.

A collection of short stories billed as horror with a sense of humor. As with most collections, some stories were really good and some not so much. Some were steeped in their backstories, which I don't know, making them somewhat inaccessible. Still if you like some of these authors, they are worth checking out in short story form, notably Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden.

This is a fun little anthology all about love, lust, vampires, and werewolves. Some big A listers in it, like Jim Butcher and Charlaine Harris, so its a good read no matter how you slice it.

Nothing really notable to say about this one. Too many stories to keep straight after so long, but I do remember that I loved the Dresden story with the magical parasites that turned Harry's tennage lycanthrope friends into bundles of raging lust and hormones...well...moreso than warrented for being a teenager.

No one jumped out at me to follow, as I already knew most of the authors in here and already know if I like them enough to follow or not. All in all a fun little something something to get your heart's blood next valentine.

This gets three stars only because of the scant handful of good stories in it.

I read all but 3 stories and those I read 1/2 of. No I won't call those people out, that would be rude. Overall I enjoyed it.

Unpopular opinion ahead.

I was dying to read this for the Jim Butcher story (a Harry Dresden one). It was Ok – just OK, probably the weakest of his short stories to date. They are usually well-paced and involving, this was neither. But still it was one of the strong points of the book.

The Armstrong story was a very good opener and I was hopeful for the rest of the book, but the next 4 stories just got progressively worse. It is by far the single worst anthology I have ever read. Some of the stories were so bad I don’t know how they got published. They were neither funny or scary and several read liked they had been written by teenage boys trying to shock their English teacher.

I picked this up to read a few short stories by authors I follow...and honestly, I'm not sure why I read the others in here. Hopefulness, I suppose. I finished this a while ago & found a bunch of little scraps of paper where I'd marked stuff that pissed me off, but I'm not gonna bother writing about all of it. So, if there's someone you know you like that's in this book, then read their stuff, but otherwise I wouldn't bother.

Some parts quirky, some parts queasy, most parts downright hilarious! I laughed out loud on numerous occasions with this one. Definitely a quick read for someone looking for a short story collection prefect for October.
