This book does what it set out to do. While the book has decent representation, the main action of the story still centers around two white characters. The main conflict is well written and I really like how the author showed the entire healing process, not just the "moving forward" parts. I would recommend this book to anyone, but with the warning that it does not shy away from discussing assault in detail.
