I have this thing with book lengths. Really long books rarely keep my attention. Shorter books usually leave me feeling a little unsatisfied. This one is on the shorter end, and it definitely is the exception to the norm for me. I most certainly did not get left feeling unsatisfied.

This book is a quick and enjoyable read. It was over before I knew it. And that's not a bad thing. I think had it been longer, I would have found myself getting bored. I didn't want to put this down until I finished, which is pretty much what happened.

I enjoyed getting Londyn and Brook's story. It was such a great, entertaining, loving story. It flowed impeccably. The connection between the characters was a bit love at first sight (which I don't typically like), and it worked for this book. It felt like their relationship went slow and fast at the same time.

If you're looking for a quick, fun, sweet read, I highly recommend this one. I am really looking forward to the next book.

This is my first Devney Perry book, and really like it. As someone that hates insta-love I didn't mind it here.
I did liked the two main characters even side characters, really interested in Gemma book. Londyn and Brooks were amazing together but book is short and things move fast.
Overall I really like writing Devney Perry and will read more stuff from her.

This was a really nice quick read. There was nothing complicated about this book: the writing is smooth and easy, the plot is simple and relatively low on drama, and there was decent chemistry between the two main characters, Londyn and Brooks. They had quite a lovely, gentle relationship that I thought worked well. I liked how into each other they clearly were: their bond felt quite real and genuine and it was nice that there was such little conflict between the two of them.

I do have to say that the harassment subplot didn’t really do a lot for me. It felt a bit forced and clunky and I really didn’t think that the book needed it. As a whole it was quite a sweet book and a really easy read; it was a shame to bog that down with that kind of drama, especially with how it resolved. It just felt unnecessary. That said, I had fun reading it.

Content Notes: Small town, single dad.

Warnings:
SpoilerChildhood neglect, absent parents, homelessnes, harassment / intimidation, traffic collision (on-page), miscarriage (unnamed character, off-page).

I devoured this book. It felt more like a novella cause it was so fast paced. I loved the fact that it was relatively low drama.

Loved the characters, loved the plot, the only thing that makes me iffy about it is that I wanted more scenes with the main characters. It was such a short read, I felt like it was missing something. But other than that, loved it. Also Brooks son was such a cute character, the way he was so shy but also went after what he wanted, iykyk.

All the stars are for the guy cause the girl was dumb AF. I can't emphasize how stupid and annoying she was.
