I didn’t think I could love Kerry Washington more until I read this! Definitely consider content warnings before reading. This was so powerful. I will be thinking about aspects of it for a while.

I really liked learning more about Kerry Washington. I like her as an actress and love how she keeps her children out of the limelight. But this is my absolute last actor turned author memoir. It’s an over saturated genre and I’m over it.

This did everything you could hope for from a memoir, and was heavy and emotional and uplifting and lovely. Full review to come! This did everything you could hope for from a memoir, and was heavy and emotional and uplifting and lovely. I really enjoyed my read—hearing the book in Kerry’s own voice was a fantastic and immersive experience, and I thought she was incredibly open and vulnerable with all that she shared. If you enjoy memoirs and/or are a fan of Kerry, I definitely recommend picking this one up!
