Segments of this were a little more violent & gruesome then I would normally read, but sometimes that’s what you get when you dig in to a Gaiman tale! Overall, super interesting stories and great adventures. The full cast does a fabulous job.

My favorites were A Dream of A Thousand Cats and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. SO GOOD.

Plus, I could listen to James McAvoy ALL DAY.

It’s the first time that I read a Audiobook like this. The cast the sound the music. It was perfect. I didn’t think you could make a comic into an audiobook. I was wrong. Even if I didn’t like all the story it was really a good audio experience.

This audible dramatisation has an incredible cast for one thing, with Morpheus being narrated by James McAvoy and many more famous actors making appearances, while the author himself narrates the storyline. It's dark, morbid, funny and all round a very fun listen. Each chapter reads like an issue in a comic having its own storyline and characters making it easy to dip in and out of, with Morpheus being the main constant. It did feel a bit unfinished, though it's only a part of the comics and did have an overarching plot. I look forward to the next and hope to read the comics at some point as well.

Extremely well done full-cast audio. Having read some of the comics I thought they did a seamless job narrating the visual aspects you would otherwise miss out on. The voice actors were absolutely perfect, and I’m looking forward to listening to the other volumes!
