Okay lol this is so frustrating, just say you're preggy, okay!! I've been holding back from screaming for how many chapters again. And lol, on the earliest volumes when we found out Tsubaki isn't the real son, I was shrugging like, maybe it's Nao—lol I was still shocked when I saw it coming. Also, I knew it, Tsubaki wouldn't ruin someone else product lol!

A lot gets revealed for our main storyline this volume.

Nao is indeed pregnant and tries to find a way to tell Tsubaki. She also remembers a moment in her youth when her mother asked if she was in love with Tsubaki- as she answers positively, her mother mother appears sad. In the present, after searching through her old room at Kogetsuan, she finds a box with paternity results: Tsubaki really isn't the "heir" to the family business, and instead, Mr. Takatsuki was actually her father! Reeling from these shocking truths, Nao considers not telling Tsubaki she is pregnant anyway, planning on disappearing. That will leave Grandpa's hopes dashed, in the very least.

Jojima's storyline seems to be mostly resolved at the moment. The wagashi festival is a success with his family's warabi mochi recipe. Even though the Proprietress tries her underhanded schemes again (like she did 3 years ago), she wasn't able to thwart this year's proceedings.

In regards to the wedding plans, Grandpa decides to move the tea ceremony that was to occur that same day to a week earlier. Nao and Tsubaki see this as a reconciliation and acknowledgement on Grandpa's part to the legitimacy of their upcoming nuptials. Nao and Grandpa talk and he tells her he finds to find Sakura...and what about those wagashi that taste like something from so long ago?

Also bonus story- Nao doesn't like watermelon.

Not sure where things are headed from here, but there sure were a lot of reveals in this volume.
Spoiler The plot twist of Nao's father was something I already suspected. And it makes me suspect that Tsubaki's mother is the real murderer.

Not sure how I feel about the other thing Nao has to deal with now. Seems like a very inconvenient thing to happen for what she wants to do. And it's not like any child would be safe around Tsubaki's mother. I wouldn't trust that woman any further than I could throw her.
