Amber grew up on a communal farm with her two "sisters," Rose and Emerald, with each of their three mothers taking turns raising them. She knows it's an idyllic existence which is why she's not super stoked that a hot lawyer-type is on her front porch with news that is going to change their entire lives. It seems they're actually the love children of the band Red Hot. Their mothers were groupies, and when they found themselves pregnant, they decided to leave. Hot lawyer wants to offer them 10 million dollars a piece to meet the band. Amber is the only sister who really wants to go. So she goes to New York and immediately gets accosted by a tattooed gentleman who seems to know her name.
Tyler Stanz is the newest member of Red Hot, replacing the lead guitarist. He's very "guyliner" in a band that is known for mullets. Neither the band nor their fans seem very accepting of him. Which is part of the reason he was so ready to help out by bringing Amber in from the airport, not that anyone has told him who she is.
As Amber and Ty start to figure out where each fits into the Red Hot family, they also start to discover just how their initial attraction can start to turn to love.
Elle Casey can be kind of uneven for me. The books I've read of hers have been rated from two to four stars. There were some definite sticking points in this book for me (how did Amber attend college and not know about smart phones or Snapchat; why did she start beating on some guy who definitely knew who she was) but I overall fell into the "like" category for this book. I liked the world-building and am ready to see Rose and Em get their own HEAs (and hopefully hot lawyer too, but preferably not one of the sisters.)

For all this sells itself as a romance, the flirting and boinking feels like an anemic afterthought to the central story of a young woman meeting the musician father (or fathers - it's complicated in a 'Mamma Mia' kind of way) she never knew. Honestly, the book would probably be stronger if it had skipped shoehorning in of a romance and dedicated the page count to the IMO much more entertaining music industry shenanigans. Probably less marketable without a bad boy love interest though.

Cozy, sexy Romance
Amber and her sisters are living a great life on their family farm in Maine, or as Amber likes to call it, a hippie commune . A man in a fancy suit and fancier car shows up and delivers a bombshell, a secret that the girls’ moms have been keeping from them for 25 years. This stranger is a lawyer from New York City bringing paperwork from their fathers, an offer of $10 million a piece, and they want to meet them. The girls demand answers from their mothers, who are these men that they never told them about? The moms tell a story about three young women, 25 years ago, who were groupies for their favorite band, Red Hot. For two years, they toured around the world with the band, in the days of free love and rock n’ roll. Then they found out that they were pregnant, all three women at the same time. They knew that this life they were living was not for raising kids and together made the decision to leave and start a new life for themselves and their babies. The girls know that there is no way that they will accept this guilt money from men that have ignored their existence for 25 years. The plan...Amber, the outgoing and outspoken one, will travel to New York City to meet these men and tell them face to face that they can shove their money right up their asses.
Upon her arrival in NYC, she meets the newest, youngest, and not to mention hottest member of the band, Ty. Their first interactions do not go so well but as Ty and Amber spend more time together things starting heating up.
This was a very cute and sexy romance, who doesn’t want to fall for a rocker?! The dynamic between the the sisters and the relationship with their moms is the definition of family. Full of love, support, sacrifice and honesty. Ty and Amber definitely heat things up but they also dive even deeper as Amber helps him work through some past baggage he has been carrying around.
“Your past does not determine who you are today. You make that choice. You do not have to be an angry person. You do not have to be sad about what happened to you when you were a kid. You can choose a different life for yourself.”
“You choose how you react to the things that happen to you and the things you do. You take step one and then you decide what step two is going to be, not me.”
“Life wasn’t meant to be easy. In fact, from what I understand, it’s supposed to be incredibly unfair and difficult for everyone.”
Anyone who is in the mood for a quick, easy, light hearted romance that you can get swept up in, go no further, this would be an excellent choice.

To be honest this book was not for me. I had high hopes as I loved Shine not burn once, but this story grated my nerves.
First, I thoughy it totally unbelievable that 3 women (groupies of a rock band who were shared by the members) would all get pregnant around the same time! They decided to leave the band and raise their daughters very sheltered. Until one day someone turns up with papers from the band and they have to tell their (grown) daughters the truth. One of the girls, Amber, travels to New York to confront the band.
The hero of the book is not my kind of book boyfriend (ahum, the eyeliner...) and even though there are some funny interactions they are - again - not believable.

Amber
This was fun, and enjoyable read. I love Ty and Amber chemistry even though it was so very fast, but it was very believable. I also love the sister bond in the story. It worked very well. Can't wait for the next one.
