I kind of like the book, despite the unlikable characters, and ridiculous talking plants. Also no ruins so that was disappointing. Would have been cool if there was more exploration, or something revealed about the nature of the vines. Thinking about it the "monster" was about as bland and unlikable as the characters, so meh.
Also why the hell didn't they try throwing the vines at the Mexicans?!

I liked this book. Creepy and can create goosebumps while reading. I'm not sure I will ever look at a vine covered anything in the same way I did before reading this book.
