I’m glad Dominic got his own book but I’m so sad to see this series and the Mercury Pack series end.
I loved this, as always. Wright never disappoints.
I know Wright has a new series coming up, Olympus Pride, so we have something to look forward to.
Something not completely related to this series but I have to say it:
Still hoping Cain and Cassidy from the Mercury Pack series get their own book. I will never lose hope. I’m stubborn

Well, that was a strong finish to the Phoenix Pack series!
I loved Mila and Dominic’s story. She’s a pallas cat shifter whose true mate has imprinted on someone else, and he’s the Phoenix wolf shifter who has been hitting on every woman in sight. They’re not ‘true mates’, but their “the one you love is the one you choose” journey made for a really satisfying read. There were wobbles (in Dominic’s words), but their relationship had a strong foundation and surprisingly good communication. I also enjoyed the cast of supporting characters, as we were introduced to more members of the Olympus Pride (Mila’s family).
The action/mystery subplot kept me guessing, probably because Suzanne Wright toned down the villainy of (most of) the side characters, so I didn’t know who was the “true” antagonist. And even when that was revealed, there was an unexpectedly scary final confrontation that felt more real than the ones we’ve seen in previous books.
I usually pick up a Suzanne Wright shifter book when I want a comfort read (the formula works for me), and this was one of my favourite instalments so far.

Awesome
Amazing ending to a great series! So happy the that Dominic got the happily under after that he deserved. I loved this series and sad to see it end. But I will read it many more time.

Suzanne Wright is a talented author, and I have enjoyed many of her paranormal books.
However, I think this series needs to be retired. This story is just a big mess, and portions of the plot seem to be some of her old standbys.
Ms. Wright really does create complex characters with depth, and that was the best part of this book.
An Advanced Reader Copy was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I loved seeing how dominant and possessive Dominic was once he found his mate. They were so well suited for each other and their chemistry was perfect. They had their outside issues, but they constantly put each other first.
There was plenty of sass and snark, spice, and love.
