We return to the world of the Samwell men's hockey team with Bitty, Jack and... baking! This second part continues the storyline in the form of another graphic novel. After having read the first book I knew it was only a matter of time before I started reading the second.

The book starts where Bitty and Jack ended. Or actually found eachother. Because I already knew the characters this time around it immediately felt right and familiar. While the first book was all about Bitty's freshman year, the second is about his sophomore year. With Jack now focussing on his professional hockey career and all the hopes and fears that come with constantly being in the public eye.

SpoilerBitty wants to be open about dating Jack while also having the fear of ruining his professional career by doing so. Midway through the book the big kiss in public happens and suddenly everyone knows. As it got caught on live tv and their relationship is suddenly out there.

I loved the little three part chapter with Bitty and his dad. And there is a nice setup for the third book as well. The book ends with extra comics and tweets to give you even more insights. Overall another positive graphic novel and a wonderful continuation of the series. You do need to love a little hockey though!

This one focused more on hockey and games and being a professional athelte, the pressure being in the closet puts on a realtionship.

The characters are all amazing and the development they all go through is even more so. It shows how much it counts to have friends who will support you no matter what!
