Heartbreaking, sad story but very interesting to see inside the life of the foster system. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the grammar mistakes, and missing words! So strange to encounter whole words missing from sentences...

I wasn't sure what kind of story I was getting into starting this. It really outlined how hard parenting can be, and how much harder I suspect fostering can be (I'm not a parent so this is an assumption I'm making). It also showed that while trust may be in a relationship, it can still be hard to open up to someone; as seen by Dawns lack of communication with Cathy. I like that Cathy added in at the end what she knew of how Dawn is doing now. It's good to know that she's (hopefully) thriving after such a hard childhood

My friend let me borrow this book a few weeks back, and it didn't take me long to read. I loved it.
