Disappointing. There wasn’t anything new in this volume and the snapshots from the movie were not even really ones I was excited to see. I continue to long to see the parade costumes from the non-District-12 tributes. This is purely a companion book and not a movie guide. In comparing it to the Twilight movie companion books, this falls far, far short; at least those books provided insight into the filming process and actors’ thoughts. All-in-all, I’m super glad I didn’t buy this and it isn’t even one I would encourage HG fans to borrow much less buy.

Havn't watched the movie yet, and honestly, it made me not want to.

Basically a summary of the book/movie with photographs of all the key scenes. To be honest it made me less inclined to watch the film; I was unhappy about how they whitewashed Katniss already and this really emphasized it to me. Seriously guys, film!district 12 is all white people far as the eye can see. Good on them for casting Lenny Kravitz as Cinna but one token effort does not make up for casting Caucasian a heroine the books did not code as white. I'll wait to get it free on DVD from the library. 3 stars
