If you like fast moving then this is for you. We went from 0 to 100 in less than a few pages of these two bumping heads.

Road to Desire has the insta-love, biker trope and their story has a lot of ups and downs without much rhyme or reason. Dani was a good character to start with but then she started to grate on my nerves easily. Austin is a classic alpha and has his fingers in a lot of pies that no one really knows the full extent of and we never really find out.

If the story had slowed down and not been rushed I would have enjoyed this a lot more. I saw some good potential, especially with the twist. It was predictable but it could have been made a lot better with the rest of the story if there was more time spent on it.

First time listening to this author and I think first time having the author be the narrator.
I also think her husband or brother is the male narrator.
I cant rate this very high as I found I actually didnt like the narrators and I got sick of the female leads whining. The plot had so much potential.
For me the spice lvl was average.
Now saying all this I am still going to listen to more in this series, I am quite busy at the moment and I just want some short audiobooks.

I've been reading quite a few heavy and dark MC books lately, so I went into this one wanting something easy and fun to read. And after reading the first couple of chapters, I knew I wasn't going to get a lot of depth and realism in this story, so I continued for the fast, fun and easy reading. Unfortunately the story lost it's appeal real quickly with both characters, especially the heroine having way too many hot and cold moments—honestly I was getting complete whiplash by these characters, and it was ultimately why I stopped enjoying the book.

I do believe that it had the potential to be a good story, unfortunately it missed the mark for me. I feel like the author tried to pack so many tropes and storylines into this one book that it ended up being quite messy.

Overall, if your looking for a quick read in between heavier books, this one would be ideal.

Yikes. This book was bad, like I can’t come back from it wish I could take back the time bad. However, what made it even worse was listening to the audiobook. It was obviously amateur and it was.. well.. let’s just say I got second hand embarrassment just listening to the narrators reading this book. And the guys fake accent was so cringy.

I gave this book an honest shot since I’ll be seeing this author at an upcoming book signing, but it was definitely not for me.

I purchased Road to Desire after discovering one of my favorite authors wrote as Piper Davenport. I didn't expect a biker book to be so funny. This book is funny, not always but enough to leave an impression. Dani Harris just says whatever comes to mind. She babbles. She freaks and babbles some more. Her car breaks down on the wrong area of Portland as she babble to her friend on the phone that then dies. Dani is rescued by Austin "Booker" Carver. Booker is a member of Dogs of Fire MC. This sets off all kinds of warning flags for Dani. Did I mention her dad is Chief of Police? Her sister is ADA. Her brother is a detective. Left with no other choice Dani lets Booker help her. He even takes her home (at least she was smart enough to text pics of truck and license to her friend). Booker wants Dani. I swooned over his determination. I admired his persistence. I was impressed by his patience. And when the alpha needed to go all protective--oh my. Booker finds the guy that stole all of her money--the reason she lived in a dump and drove a clunker. He fixes her car. He does't give up. I laughed as babbling Dani as she slowing weaked, falling for the biker. I enjoyed the story line--biker meets cute little kindergarten teacher, saves the day, and they ride off into the sunset. I appreciated that the bikers weren't portrayed as drugging, dirty, sex fiends. Parties were mellow, not orgies. Only one sweet butt was mentioned and when she screwed up she was gone. The club bent over backwards for their children. There is one problem--I want to buy the rest NOW. But I have so many other books to read. I know I won't be able to get this story out of my head and I will be writing more reviews soon.

Feb 2, 2019 I just finished the audio version of this book. I can't believe the story got better, but it did. The way the narrator was able to add just that little extra bit of humor had me laughing even more than when I read it. I didn't think it was possible because Dani is freaking hilarious. That lady has no filter and I loved every minute of it. Listening to this made painting my son's room a joy. I am looking forward to the author adding more books to the audio library.

First, let me say that I've been an avid reader of MC books for a while now, and I've started to get burned out. *Gasp*

This book was a refreshing spin on the MC world, though not as serious and violent as some I've read-which was a good thing for me. I was able to concentrate on the building of Dani and Booker's relationship, without the club-life overshadowing it.

I stumbled upon this author and I'm very happy to have. More reviews to come shortly.
