Woof. Talk about emotional damage (and by this I mean mainly mine) This story, just like Binding and Keeping 13, takes you *through* it.  You would think that the emotion in a book this long would be diluted, but you would be wrong. From start to finish, Redeeming 6 takes you on a journey sure to wreck you. I loved to see Joey and Alice’s relationship build over the years and was so relieved to make it to their hard-won HEA

I do wish Aoife had a bit more room here. Room for her trauma and for her emotions, outside of Joey. Understandably, Joey’s trauma takes up a lot of space but I would have liked to see more of Aoife’s response to the things that happened to *her* and not just the things that happened with Joey or with them together.

I will also say that I hope this will be the last book that delves this heavily into these events and Teddy and Marie, because I don’t think my heart can take any more of them. I hope that, if we do get books centred around the other Lynch siblings, their stories take place after the events of these four books.

For this reason (and for many others) I am very thankful that the next book will be Gibsie and Claire’s. Although I’m sure Chloe Walsh will find new and creative ways to destroy us all

nothing could have prepared me for this book this was the most traumatic book i have and will ever read, i have never ever EVER cried that much reading a book
emotions are still all over the place-
I WILL NEVER RECOVER FROM HIS SUCIDE NOTE TO AOIFE FUCK

the relationship between joey and sean is everything everything everything i cried so fucking much over all their scenes

joey aoife and aj💞🥺
“For the second time in my life, I was a father. For the first time in my life, I had a child of my own.” i knew joey could do it i knew he’d be the father he always had been,  just to his own child this time not his siblings🫶and that fact that aj was born on 31.08.05 which is EXACTLY 6 years to the day joey and aoife met, it’s their day😭😭

chloe walsh i’m on my knees begging for claire and gibsies book, it’s not a want it’s a NEED
and lizzie and hughies book i need it NOW

lizzie and joeys friendship in this is everything to me, and joey and gibsie them togther had me in creases

the found family the found family in this series nothing will ever beat it.
they are my family all of them. and joey and gibsie’s friendship growth gets me everytime

“Quite frankly, it’s  a miracle he’s sitting here today.” THIS KILLED ME ABSOLUTELY KILLED ME. when the doctor said this to Aoife after telling her that the child abuse inflicted on joeys body dated back to infancy. INFANCY. FUCKING INFANCY. YEAH JOEY IT IS A FUCKING MIRACLE YOUR SAT HERE. i sobbed and sobbed untill i couldn’t fucking breathe. Joesph Lynch he’s our miracle boy that’s for fucking sure

joey will always be the #1 lynch sibling protector
when joey thought they had died in the house fire and then johnny told him he had saved all his siblings and joey goes ‘he had them? My kids? he had them.’ the my kids broke me and i was violently sobbing-
and when aoife told edel that they were ‘joeys babies’ the tears didn’t stop, he was the best mum to them, the best fucking mum

EDEL AND JOHN NOVELLA WHEN??? ITS A NEED

Right in the feels, the highs were highs (no pun intended) but oh how the lows hurt me on this book.
I was right: I loved that we caught up to the first books timeline and we could interact more with the rest of the cast, but also, I loved following Joey and Aoife more this book than the previous one. It was lovely and heartbreaking to read their story.
A whole 5/5 with all my heart
