On the first day of Liam’s new start, he lays eyes on a gorgeous woman while he grabs coffee on his way to work. So what are the chances that she ends up sitting in the front row…of his photography lecture?! I felt their electricity. It was instant, and unavoidable. (And I loved every second of it.) After seeing Perry’s photography, he says he has high expectations for her…and I had high expectations of them. And none of us were disappointed! They do their best to fight this attraction. It’s not exactly appropriate; professor and student. It lasted a day. To be more accurate, it lasted a class. Liam very quickly decides to stop letting himself ignore his feelings for her, and she makes the same decision. They’d rather hide than fight this pull. I can not tell you the pure happiness it brought me when NOTHING WENT WRONG!. God that was so refreshing! We got hit with a curveball, that’s for sure! But both Liam and Perry did everything that I believe their characters would do. And most importantly, they trusted their love. She was everything Liam needed. The gold at the end of the rainbow that he deserved. Can I have a full length version of this?! Just full of fluffy domestic cuteness?!

I am a sucker for forbidden romances and this student/teacher romance instantly grabbed my attention. Liam is the new professor and Perry is starting her final year at university but when these two locked eyes in coffee shop there was no way they could stay away from each other but is risking their futures worth it?

I loved everything about this story. The chemistry between Liam and Perry was perfect. Their romance is forbidden but there is so much attraction. There is also a little drama that will suck you into this story and wanting to know more.

This is the perfect story to end the summer! I can’t wait to see what is in story for the rest of the year because each book continues to blow me away and I fall in love with this series more and more.

My first thought while reading this was, “where were all the hot professors like Liam while I was in college?”

I'm not one for teacher/student romances but this was a very enjoyable read.
Instant attraction followed by recognition of who they are to each other. secrets and lies almost destroy their would be relationship.
There are witty moments that keep the book light-hearted and the side characters are solid and add to the feel of the story.
Great read.

Liam looks at the lesson plans and knows nothing is going to happen without a coffee, ready to place his order he sees her, she’s beautiful, he doesn’t think she’s a student, then her eyes meet his, he can’t look away. Leaving he doesn’t know what it was, but he hasn’t felt a pull like that in a long time. Finally, at his class he sees her again and hears her gasp, the girl from the coffee shop is his student.
Perry wonder why all the girls had been talking, then she sees him the hot new teacher, the guy from the coffee shop. Having to talk to him about her project, she struggles, trying not to look at him, but the zing when he’s arm, brushes her is crazy.
Liam knows that life is to short, and he’s never felt this way before ever and he knew going to the mountains was a bad idea, but he was over fighting what he felt for Perry and any consequence they may have. They both agree that they’d rather have each other in secret, than not at all, they can’t go back now, but then something happens that could ruin everything they have built together.

Mr August by Nicole S. Goodin is Book 8 in the Calendar Boys series.
This one is a teacher/student forbidden romance between photographer Liam and photography student Perry.
I enjoyed this one. It had an unusual storyline that I found appealing for this type of trope. The relationship felt organic and the slow reveal of past events moving into the present was spot on.
Looking forward to book 9.

Where do I start? Even with a taboo relationship, this one really pulled at the old heart strings. I fell in love with Liam almost instantly, and Perry is such a sweetie too. It’s adorable how they both are so drawn to each other, and even though they know it’s wrong, they can’t help but join together.

And then I was thrown a curveball that I didn’t see coming. I was not expecting it, and definitely not the full details which I’ll leave for you to find out
