I really loved this book! Who would have thought a book about a kindergartner would be so heartbreaking, funny, and lighthearted all at once

I had heard great things about this book before reading it, and it didn't disappoint! I definitely want to check out more by this author.

One of the easiest 5 stars i’ve given this year. Having never seen the TV show I wasn’t sure what to expect but this was absolutely incredible. This book handles some deep and heavy topics but in a way that’s lighthearted and feels like real life.

Jane, Celeste & Madeline are some of the most interesting and funny female characters i’ve read in one book, their inner thoughts absolutely made this book for me.

I did not see the twist at the end coming but it also wasn’t so far fetched that it didn’t make sense - extremely satisfying.

This has definitely spurred me to watch the show but i’m unsure it can ever live up to this!

I watched one episode of the show and I knew I had to read the book. There is an air of mystery and brokenness that had me wandering more about the lives of the parents of Pirriwee Elementary. A book about friendship, bullying and domestic abuse/sexual assault, it’s humorous and delicate and thought provoking I couldn’t put it down.
