I absolutely love this series of books. Sara Ney does such a good job of writing full detail spicy scenes, while also including plot and character development. Definitely an 18+ book.

Rhett Rabideaux is meant to be a "ugly duckling" sort of character. All he ever mentions is how he is unattractive (which made me really sad). He is the perfect gentleman, never trying to pressure Laurel into anything. His nice nature makes him miss a lot of hints that Laurel tries to give him.

Laurel comes off as very shallow in the beginning. All sh thinks ab out is how she could never be attracted to someone as ugly as Rhett. She slowly starts to fall for Rhett.
