This was so insightful that I highlighted many parts and even took notes for most of the chapters. Definitely a great guide even for people who don't go to film school like me.

Read it mostly for the breakdown of Chinatown, which I just watched for the first time. There's a funny chapter at the end about how great computers are for writers, circa 1994. This word processing thing is gonna be big, I tell ya.

A book of ample examples and explanations about how to write a screenplay and how to actually sell it. A must-read for aspiring screenwriters.
