I wanted to like this one a lot. I love a childhood friends to strangers to lovers trope, however, this one just didn't deliver. I didn't really feel the love between the two characters. Also, their arguments got repetitive and caused me to skim through them. Plus, I don't understand why as orcs who want to attract more women into their mountain to have mates and children wouldn't share that lying/withholding information is the worst thing you can do to your budding relationship. It bothers me a lot. Also, I'm not sure there were warnings about the causal mentions of child prostitution and rape within the book.
