Toxic Creek - KC Kean

WOW! What did I just read? KC Kean- your writing skills are amazing - they always have been but that was next level. Congrats!!

I was sucked in right from the start and I could of easily have read right to the end in one sitting - if real life didn’t happen.

I loved the dynamic of the characters. I loved Eden and her strength (damn she is a strong FMC). I loved her ‘gives no f***’s attitude.

The side characters were also next level - Archie and Charlie.

The Allstars - where does one begin with them??

This is one of my top reads for the year and I highly recommend it - just make sure you don’t have plans when you start as you won’t want to put this book down.

I cannot wait for book 2!!

Oh this book. Oh this book. I had such high hopes for this book and it was very shaky at best. This push and pull of the characters was frustrating and I really wanted to shake the main character on multiple occasions.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the book and will continue the series, but THIS BOOK WAS A STRUGGLE and did not go gently into the good night. As I was reading, I was constantly making noises about what silly thing Eden did or the constant whining she was pulling. She wasn’t as strong of a character that should be in a bully romance so that was a struggle for me. I felt like she really couldn’t handle these boys and their constant back and forth so I sort of felt bad for her and kind of wanted her to leave this toxic relationship.

However, in the end, she really started to step up and I was so here for it. The steam is also a VERY good reason to stick around.

So in the end, the book was a good read and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was just very cranky and frustrated until around page 100....

Eden is forced to move to Knight's Creek after her father's murder. Confused as to why, Eden asks her mother for more information, only to be told that this has to happen otherwise they will both come to the same fate as her father. Eden's mother informs her that she will be staying at the Freemont house as well as attending Asheville High for her senior year. She meets Archie and Charlie, and they become quick friends. She is warned by her new friends that Xavier, Tobias, and Hunter are kings of the town. They are quick to attempt to show Eden just who runs the town, but fail and end up becoming close. Knight's Creek has a lot of secrets, and Eden is making it her personal mission to figure them out. This story has a lot of twist, turns, drama, and a massive cliffhanger.

Crazy town

This book had me from the first chapter. There is so many secrets, betrayals, and mysteries that I was intrigued the entire book. After Eden’s father is murdered she is forced to move her parent’s hometown in order save her and her mother’s life. Her the first day she arrives she realizes this isn’t a normal coastal town. There are secrets and dark plans working against her trying to break her. The three main ones are Xavier, Hunter, and Tobias. But they learn quickly that she won’t be broken and that only has them wanting more from her. But by the end of this book one secret about her best friend has her cracking.

Such a different story to the family heritage secret society style book. The tough challenge of losing your father in a murder, and your mother forces you to leave to some small town your parents grew up in. If you don’t...she and you are murdered. When you think it can get no worse you learn there is no one that’s not willing to lie to you. Mmmf relationship is full of tension.

Toxic Creek is an addictive and page turning introduction to a New series by KC Kean. The world is well crafted filled with intrigue and mystery, leaving so many questions that you have no choice but to fall into the next book when it comes out. The characters are distinct, well written and I can't wait to learn more about them. If you loved KC Kean's Featherstone Academy series, it is highly likely you will love this first book in the Allstars series.

KC is freaking amazing! I did not want this story to end! I absolutely loved the characters and the storyline. In Toxic Creek we meet Eden who has just lost someone extremely important to her and then is forced to leave her home to go back to where her parents grew up. Unfortunately for her the place is as toxic as it comes. There she meets Archie( love him), as well as the Allstars Xzavier, Tobias, and Hunter. Yes have to say so far Hinter is my favorite! This book does have bullying, but I love how Eden has a backbone and doesn’t take it lying down. It also has mystery, steamy scenes and an amazing plot twist. I cannot wait for the next book! I hope the wait isn’t too long especially with the ending this book had!!!!
